Junior Digital Designer

The role of Graphic Designer is a full-time opportunity to create original designs with varying websites and software across all affiliated brands. This position will have the opportunity to use and improve their skills in a fun and fast-paced environment that encourages new ideas and supports professional development.

 

MARKETING TEAM MEMBER
 
  • Reports to Senior Digital Designer

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Design and build websites that enhance the customer experience and meet the specifications of the client
  • Design and build websites are mobile-friendly and follow proper design guidelines
  • Adhere to website design practices that optimize for SEO
  • Create original designs for social media consumption that coincide with outlined content theme.
  • Create original designs for use in digital marketing emails.
  • Create original designs for internal business purposes, such as signage, flyers, business cards, branded items, onboarding items, branded décor.
  • Illustrate ideas and designs by creating sitemaps, wireframes, and mockups.
  • Review current designs to suggest updates.
  • Create digital graphics that support the website design
  • Support brand initiatives by adhering to specified branding guidelines
  • Communicate content needs with Project Manager and Digital Copywriter
  • Ask appropriate questions to team and client for full understanding on project specifications
  • Working alongside Project Manager and Digital Copywriter to meet project deadlines
  • Run site audits and make repairs to optimize site performance
  • Stay up to date on current content trends through research and continuing professional education
  • Assist team with a solutions-based mindset and bringing creative ideas to the table

 

QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic and web design
  • Working knowledge of WordPress
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated understanding of web design for SEO
  • Experience with HTML and CSS required
  • Working understanding of implementing website monitoring tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, tracking pixels, etc.
  • Trouble-shoot and problem-solving skills related to website functionality, resolving yourself or communicating with team developer to resolve
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Customer service skills or background encouraged but not required
  • Understanding of Javascript preferred but not required
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and consistently meet deadlines

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
 
  • Able to communicate via email, phone, and in-person in a professional manner with team members and clients
  • Prompt response and communications during work hours
  • Clearly communicate updates and information to appropriate team members regarding tasks and projects

  • Consistently meet project deadlines
  • Produce work that follows project specifications
  • Meet and exceed minimum business standards
  • Maintain high quality standards
