Here is how we set up the rankings: we found some of the most watched shows on these popular streaming services during March and April. We narrowed down the results to a list of 10 TV shows and movies. These shows are not listed in any particular order. For each streaming service, we have three reviews, followed by seven other titles you should check out if you have access to that service. Of the top 10, we chose reviews based on shows our team had seen. We just wanted to mention that these shows have various themes. We recommend looking at ratings before sitting down to watch these shows with the family.

Now that that has been said, it is time to binge watch some shows! Cook a pizza, bust out some popcorn, and sit down for the show. You will not be disappointed.

Netflix

Never Have I Ever

This is a cute rom-com and sort of a coming-of-age story. The show is all about navigating through high school. The main character, Devi, is a young Indian girl that has been raised in America. Her father recently passed away, and she is dealing with his death. This show is both a drama and a comedy. She tries to survive high school, find a boyfriend, and become more popular. This show has a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes

Ozark

This show’s third season is already out, but it seems that people are just now discovering it. The show is about a financial advisor. He ends up laundering money for a powerful drug lord. The financial advisor, Mr. Byrde, ends up having to move his entire family to the Missouri Ozarks to continue work. The family pretends to be an ordinary family, but nothing is further from the truth. Of course, this show is a drama, but there is some comedy as well. This show is not for the faint of heart though, as it deals with drugs, murder, violence, and more. 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness

How could we not include this one? According to Nielsen ratings, this show was watched by over 34 million people in just 10 days! This show is sort of a true crime documentary. It follows the life of big cat zookeeper, Joe Exotic, in Oklahoma. It also looks at other big cat conservationists. The show focuses on the drama between the owners of several private zoos across the US. The show starts weird and just gets stranger from there. Mix in a few deadly animals, and you have got yourself an interesting documentary. We will not spoil anything; however, you should be warned. This documentary is rated TV-MA for violence, language, sex, drinking, and drugs. 7.7 on IMBD

Hulu

Mrs. America

This show takes place in the 1970’s and looks at the fight for equal rights for women. This drama follows the fight between liberal and conservative women during that time. It focuses on the revolution and counterrevolution of the movement. The information is not 100% accurate, but it is still very enjoyable. Expect to learn a lot about the Equal Rights Amendment for women. You will learn why women have things like equal pay for equal work, now. If you liked Mad Men, you will probably like this show too. Mad Men's screenwriter-producer, Dahvi Waller, also created and wrote most of this show as well. Mrs. America has a 96% on rotten tomatoes.

The Venture Bros

Did you watch this show when it aired on Adult Swim back in the 2000s? It is an animated comedy aimed at adults. Some would consider this to be a spoof on the old show Jonny Quest from the 1960’s. This series follows two twin sons, their scientist father, and their murderous security guard. The twins are not the brightest, the father identifies as a “super-scientist”, and the security guard (voiced by Patrick Warburton) looks for every opportunity to kill. The four of them go on many adventures together. Expect a lot of action and comedy while watching this! Overall, this show is rated 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it deserves it.

Letterkenny

I know everyone loves this show, I personally do not like it. So far, this show has eight seasons, if that gives you an idea of its popularity. The characters talk a mile a minute in a way that catches you off guard. I understand that is the joke of the show, but I personally struggle to understand the words at all. This comedy focuses on a fictional farming town in Canada, called Letterkenny. You will meet all of this towns’ hicks and hockey players. The show looks at all the problems that the Letterkenny citizens are facing. This show has won several awards and is rated 8.7 on IMBD. Although I did not personally like this show, I would still recommend it.

HBO

Westworld

We are currently in the process of bingeing this! So far, we have not been disappointed. I did not know it was possible, but this show successfully combines cowboys, sci-fi, and fantasy.  The show takes place in a luxury theme park where the ultra-rich can do as they please (without being harmed). The guests can be anyone they want to be and indulge in their wildest fantasies. There are also non-player characters in the park to add to the experience. The non-player characters are incredibly lifelike robots. They were created with care and with full backstories. This show looks at the potential for AI technology. Protip: watch the behind the scenes videos at the start of each episode. They were really fascinating! Westworld has an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes

Game of Thrones

This is a very good show. It takes place in a time just before the Middle Ages. The story focuses on two powerful families and their individual members. Each person is fighting for control of the Seven kingdoms. This show is definitely a drama as the family members try to fight to the death for control of the Iron Throne. There will be alliances, conflicts, deception, and more! If you like shows about royalty, magic, and more, you are sure to like this show as well. This show has 8 seasons and ended in 2019. This show has a 9.3 rating on IMBD

Big Little Lies

Anyone up for a drama about murder? What a lot of people like about this show is the number of different characters it focuses on from episode to episode. For starters, the show switches between two different timelines. It also focuses on different characters throughout the series. The story is sort of an unraveling of characters. We primarily focus on three mothers with perfect lives, and their families. The show was originally a miniseries, but it did so well that it became a full series. The show stars Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Shailene Woodley. If you like cliffhanger endings to episodes, you will like this show. 89% on Rotten Tomatoes

The Simpsons

Of course, we had to include this one! You have probably seen this show already. But, if you have not; you are really missing out on this classic. With over 682 episodes so far, this show has become the longest-running American sitcom. It probably helps that it is animated, so the characters never age. This sitcom comedy focuses on the Simpson’s family, a working-class family that lives in the fictional city of Springfield. The family consists of two parents and their three kids. The show uses parodies to make fun of American culture and television in a way that feels timeless. This show has a rating of 8.7 on IMBD.

Big Hero 6

We had to include a Disney movie in this list! This animated kids’ movie takes place in the fictional city of San Fransokyo, in the not too distant future. The story follows Hiro, a young, intelligent boy who is interested in technology and robotics. Devastating events lead Hiro into a dangerous plot. He finds that he has to join up with a group of high-tech superheroes. Will they be able to save the day? Big Hero 6 is based off Marvel comics. It was actually the first Disney movie to feature Marvel characters! IMBD gives this movie a 7.8

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)

Ironically, this show originally aired on Cartoon Network. Since it is owned by Lucasfilm, and is part of the Star Wars universe, it was acquired by Disney in 2012. Kids and adults enjoyed this animated show back in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s. The show was good then, and it is still good now. The series takes place during the Age of Republic, or around the time of Attack of The Clones and Revenge of The Sith. The story primarily focuses on the characters Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ashoka Tano. If you like Star Wars, or animated shows, you are sure to like this series. The seventh season recently came out. This show has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%!
